چکیده

Background Type 1 neurofibromatosis occurs in every 3,000 individuals, representing 90% of cases neurofibromatosis. Hearing impairments are not commonly described as an alteration resulting from the pathology; however, sensorineural hearing losses with retrocochlear characteristics may occur a result presence acoustic neurinomas. Objectives To assess electrophysiological and electroacoustic individuals type 1. Material methods We assessed 15 patients, 10 females 5 males, aged between 9 31 years, using following procedures: pure tone audiometry, transient evoked otoacoustic emissions, contralateral suppression brainstem auditory potentials. Results All presented thresholds within normal limits. The mean amplitude general responses emissions right left ears were 11.8 12.8 dB, respectively; effect was present 73.3% for ear 66.7% left. For potentials, we obtained wave latencies respectively I: 1.83 1.80 ms, III: 4.08 4.15 V: 5.96 6.09 ms. Conclusions Individuals limits, nonsystematic prolonged

We compare the clinical and molecular features of these painful hamartomas in a series of sporadic and NF1-associated cases. OBJECTIVE We sought to evaluate the association of NF1 with glomus tumors and to compare NF1-associated glomus tumors with sporadic g...
